Making money online with Squidoo is quite simple – you're offered quite a few means of doing just this.  In addition to the items listed below, a good grasp of SEO keyword implementation is necessary, as is a firm handle on correct grammar.  Finally, have patience, as it can take some time to get your career moving in the right direction.

Your Rank as a Lensmaster – You, the creator of the lens, play the largest role in how much that lens is actually worth.  No other single factor has so much impact on the "worth" applied to your lens.  How is your LensRank determined?  To do this, Squidoo uses an algorithm, much as Google does to rank websites for search engine results.

The rank assigned to a lens (and therefore the profit you can make from that lens) is determined by things such as click-through rate (how many people click through your lens), how often you update your lens with new information, your reputation as a Lensmaster, quality of links (both inbound and outbound) within the lens, as well as user ratings for the lens.  Of course, there are other factors involved, including affiliate sales.

How You Make Money – Of course, the ways in which you can earn from your lens are of tremendous interest, as well.  How do you earn?  Actually, Squidoo has a built-in moneymaking system, in which you share a prorated percentage of any AdSense sales generated by your lens.  You can also earn through affiliate programs (links within the lens), lead generation, co-op services through Squidoo and traffic generation to Squidoo's partners and affiliates.

All of this can sound quite confusing.  It can become even more so when you "flip" lenses, rather than creating lenses designed to make you money.  When flipping lenses, it is important to allow the lens time to become established (at least 2 weeks), though some purchasers will buy immediately from a high-ranked Lensmaster. If flipping lenses is your ultimate goal, the single best way to ensure the highest income rating is to build several quality lenses for yourself (do not flip these) and allow them to become established.  Through this process, you will begin engendering a better reputation.  After all, your reputation as a Lensmaster is what will start getting you sales of those other lenses.  Finally, make sure that any lens you create for sale is at least as high quality as your "personal" lenses.
